Question: What do you do when you fall for your best friend’s little sister?

More important question: How long can you keep it a secret before it all goes up in flames?

The Billionaire’s Forbidden Little Sister, an all-new hilarious romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe, is coming November 7th and we have the adorable cover!

The Billionaire's Forbidden Little Sister Official Cover

Theo Cruz, a New York man known for his family’s billion-dollar empire, Cruz Enterprises, has been indicted this afternoon in the Court of Public Opinion on charges of Bro-Code Conspiracy.

Chief counsel for the prosecution, Caplin Hawkins, spoke candidly about the accusation.

“Once thought of as a best friend to many—including myself—Theo Cruz has officially turned his back on human decency. He’s conniving and dishonest, and a habitual offender of Bro-Code Law 676. He’ll rue the day he forgot that you never—under any circumstances—get involved with your best friend’s little sister.”

Fact: I haven’t actually been arrested or indicted.

More important fact: I inadvertently messed up—big-time.

Two strangers in a foreign country, we said hello.

Hello turned into a kiss.

A kiss turned into a rendezvous.

And a rendezvous turned into more than I’d ever imagined.

But her unruly golden curls and beautiful body hid an important detail—She’s my mouthiest billionaire best friend’s forbidden little sister.

Fact: I knew not of my crimes.

More important fact: I know now, but even though I know I’m playing with fire, there’s no way I’m stopping. I can’t leave her alone.

Question: What do you do when you fall for your best friend’s little sister?

More important question: How long can you keep it a secret before it all goes up in flames?

WRAP UP || September

Hi lovelies,

It’s time for the my monthly wrap up post. This is being written a day early as I will be going on a two week holiday to Wales on the day of posting, but thank god for scheduled posts huh? I read a total of 20 books this month. Last week I didn’t think I would read 20 but as I got sick last week I managed to get 9 books in in the last week and omg how? I did some rereading this month for new releases coming out. I made use of my Kindle Unlimited as I read so many through there! I bought a second hand kindle Paperwhite last month which means I won’t have to read through the kindle app and it’s so nice! Anyway, here we go!

Lovers Like Us by Krista Ritchie1. I started September off with a reread of the Like Us books. As I had already read Damaged Like Us earlier this year, I decided to continue to listen and read Lovers Like Us. Normally I commute to work by train, but my sister was on holiday the first three weeks of September so I was able to borrow her car. I listened to the audio books for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th book in the Like Us series. I love them so much!Star_rating_5_of_5

2. Of course I continued on with Alphas Like Us as soon as I finished LLU. Alphas Like Us by Krista RitchieThe fifth book in the series would be coming out with month and I wanted to be caught up again in all that happens in this series! Alphas might be my second favourite of the Marrow books, as it is okay but not as good as Lovers.Star_rating_5_of_5

Tangled Like Us by Krista Ritchie3. Then it was time to reread Tangled Like Us. I love Jane and Thatcher so much it’s unreal and I loved rereading their story again. Or the start of their story I should say as the fifth book is about them as well. Jane is a girl to my heart, she loves her cats, is confident in herself and doesn’t know what her passion is. I feel like that sometimes too. I love what I do but sometimes I doubt if it’s something what I’d do for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to read Sinful Like Us now that I’m all caught up again! I want to know what happens next so so bad.Star_rating_5_of_5

4. Of course, me being me, I finished the previous series before the new book would The Secret Girl by C.M. Stunichrelease and I had to bide some time before I could go into that one. I decided to pick up a new series by C.M. Stunich. I read a series by her last month which I really enjoyed and I thought I’d pick up another one. The series starts with The Secret Girl about Charlotte who goes to an all boys school as her dad is headmaster there. The book was fun and I really enjoyed it but I wish it would’ve gone a bit faster than it did now. I do love her group of guys though. Star_rating_4_of_5

The Ruthless Boys by C.M. Stunich5. Onto book two, The Ruthless Boys, this series is a fun read, sadly enough the series isn’t finished yet and I will have to wait for the conclusion! This book was a good read though, I loved reading what Charlotte and the boys would get up to this time around. Their relationships developed and I just loved the twins. The book did give me a bit of a Ouran High School Host Club vibe, but then again it is mentioned several times in the book two xDStar_rating_4_of_5

6. Then it was FINALLY time to read Sinful Like Us the book that comes next in the LikeSinful Like Us by Krista Ritchie Us series. I loved this book. I am not going to spoil anything as I know there’s a lot of people still wanting to read this. I will just say that I know that KB got a lot of hate for some parts in this book and that just makes me really upset. You can’t pass judgement on a book that has not been released yet, there’s nothing to judge. I will be keeping my eye out for the book and I can’t wait to read it. For now Krista and Becca have yet to disappoint me. Star_rating_4_of_5

If It's Only Love by Lexi Ryan7. September was a month with so many new releases that I really really wanted to read as soon as possible! If It’s Only Love was no different. Lexi Ryan has been writing the series over the past year (?) and I am absolutely loving them. I think this is the final book in the series for now but it was another incredible read. I am going to miss these girls and guys so much! Star_rating_5_of_5

8. Next up is The Billionaire Book Club and we finally get to read Cap’s story. Cap who The Billionaire Book Club by Max Monroewas ‘narrating’ the other books in this series telling us he would be the ultimate bachelor while his friends fell in love around him. I loved this book. I love that the billionaires get a book club made up because Cap wants to impress his girl and he doesn’t know how. I love Thatch so so much! He was so funny. I can’t wait to find out what is next by Max Monroe! Star_rating_5_of_5

Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow9. And then it was time for what feels like the biggest book on my bookshelf. It’s not, actually, but with it’s 731 pages it is still a beast. I started reading Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow a few years ago, but I didn’t get really far. This time I was set on finishing it and boy did I do it. I loved this so much. I loved seeing moments where Lin Manuel-Miranda got his inspiration from, some lines that are actually in the musical and Ron Chernow has such a way with words in this. I think I’ve never highlighted a book more than I’ve done with this one.Star_rating_4_of_5

10. My tenth book in September was the newest release by Tia Louise, Boss of Me. I loveBoss of Me by Tia Louise a good enemies to lovers story line and this was one for the books (literally). I loved this so much and I flew through it. As I said I made good use of my KU and this was one of the books that I read through that. I am so happy that I found Tia as an author, she has written some incredible books and Boss of Me is definitely one of them! I can’t wait to find out what will be next for her. Star_rating_4_of_5

Love on Lexington Avenue by Lauren Layne11. Lauren Layne has been one of my favourite authors for a long time and I will always read her new releases. But especially this one I was looking forward to. Passion on Park Avenue was already incredible, Love on Lexington might even been better than that one. I loved the premise of the story and especially the story line in this one was incredible. I can’t wait to find out what will happen in the last book in this series! Mind you they can be read separately! Star_rating_4_of_5

12. Time to continue my reread of the Throne of Glass series. Mind you I started last yearQueen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas October! But I continued where I left off and that was Queen of Shadows. It’s only the second time I’m reading this but I forgot how much I loved this series and how each book just keeps getting better and better. I just love Aelin and all the others. I love how she hides her plans until the last minute and ends up giving especially Rowan and Aedion a heart attack when they’re revealed. I can’t wait to continue on! Star_rating_5_of_5

All the Way by Kendall Ryan13. Time for another new release in September. Namely the newest release by Kendall Ryan. All the Way tells the story of Becca and Owen. Becca has has been sexually assaulted whilst in college and has never done anything remotely sexual since then. When drunk she tells her best friend Owen that she wants him to help her get there again. Because she feels like she wants to. Of course they end up falling in love with each other and this might’ve been the cutest one I’ve read by Kendall so far! Star_rating_4_of_5

14. Time for another book by C.M. Stunich. I became a member of her Facebook group Groupie by C.M. Stunichand they kept talking about one of her series and I just knew I had to read it. Groupie is the first in the series and let’s us meet Lilith who after a break up with her ex, and then her father passing away ends up at a concert for the band Beauty in Lies. She wants to sell the tickets her ex got her as she needs gas money. It seems that there’s a contest going on and without realizing she wins it, she finds one of the band members and it allowed backstage to the concert. And from there on it all starts happening. Star_rating_4_of_5

Roadie by C.M. Stunich15. Roadie continues on right after Groupie ends. Lilith and her boys continue on with the tour and they become more and more inseparable. I loved this trilogy a lot. I have not read a lot of Reverse Harem books but this might be my favourite out of the ones I’ve read so far. It was also the more mature one, dealing with more mature themes than the previous two I read by C.M. After finishing this I went straight into Moxie, as I simply had to know how this was going to end. Star_rating_4_of_5

16. Moxie was the perfect conclusion to this trilogy. Whilst I will not tell you how it ends, Moxie by C.M. Stunichof course, cause I am not that cruel. I do like how it ended. I feel like it was a proper ending to a trilogy that had as much angst as it had love and I was so intrigued by these books that I read them in less than two days and simply couldn’t stop reading them. Cause let’s face it, wouldn’t we all dream of a group of guys completely idolizing us? Star_rating_4_of_5

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas17. After finishing Queen of Shadows I knew that I had to read Empire of Storms soon. The book that ripped out my heart when I first read it when I realized just what had happened at the very end and then I had to wait two year to read how it would unfold as Sarah decided to tell Chaol’s story first. I loved Tower of Dawn but omg after and ending like EoS, I couldn’t just go on and wait for two year to find out what was going to happen to Aelin and her group of people! Empire of Storms was a ride from start to finish and I LOVED it. Star_rating_5_of_5

18. I decided to read When We Kiss next, one that has been on my kindle for a while andWhen We Kiss by Tia Louise actually the reason why I got my KU. I ended up realizing it’s actually the second book in this but that’s okay, you can read them in whatever order you want to read them in. But Tabby and Chad, swoon, they were perfect together, I absolutely loved this book so much. Star_rating_4_of_5

When We Touch by Tia Louise19. Next up was the other book. When We Touch tells the story of Emberly and Jackson. Emberly is Tabby’s best friend and we meet her in When We Kiss. I loved this book so much. Ember and Jackson were together ten years before until Jackson left for college. He promised he would be back but never came back and Ember was left behind devastated. When Jackson needs a change of scenery he returns to Oceanside and thinks Ember must be long gone, can you imagine the shock when he realizes she’s still there?!  Star_rating_4_of_5

20. And then guys, my perfect four and five star September months, was interrupted byMommy's Boyfriend by Victoria Snow the following book. Mommy’s Boyfriend by Veronica Snow was a book that I picked up purely because of the premise. It sounded promising but it was anything but. It was such a shame because I wanted to really really love this but I just didn’t… I ended up giving the book Star_rating_2_of_5 stars for a whole lot of reasons. The full review is up on my Goodreads if you want to find out more.

And that was it guys, All the books that I read in September and I absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to find out what October brings me!

“It’ll be fun,” they said.
Spoiler alert: they lied.

I’m an overworked attorney, but hey, at least my latest case is an interesting one. I’ve been hired to help my friend Teddy keep a sex tape he made years ago private. And considering Teddy is a pro hockey hunk with a huge reputation and an even bigger following, this news can’t get out.
Plus, I have an extra interest in making sure that tape never sees the light of day. Because the other person in that video?
Is me.

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all new stand-alone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series of athlete romances is perfect for you!

Wrap Up || July

Hi loves,

And then it was August.. Which means I get to wrap up my reading month of July. I ended up reading 19 books. 10 physical ones and 9 digital ones. I’ve had an amazing month reading wise and I can’t wait to find out what I’ll read in August (spoiler; already on book five for this month). Anyway, let’s kick this wrap up off shall we?

Passion on Park Avenue by Lauren Layne1. The first book that I read in July was the then newest release by Lauren Layne. Lauren is one of my absolute go-to authors when I need a funny romance book that I’ll finish quickly. Passion on Park Avenue was nothing less than that. I absolutely loved it. It was fun, quirky and I flew through it! Star_rating_4_of_5

2. The second book that I read in July was a reread of a book that I read aAt Any Price by Brenna Aubrey few years ago. At Any Price is a great book if you’re in the mood for something funny yet mysterious. I like the prompt where the heroine sells her virginity, because she takes matters in her own hand and makes sure it’s hers to give and not someone else’s to take.  Star_rating_4_of_5

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston3. Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston might be my favourite book in July, and really high up there on my list for 2019 books. It was so cute! Alex and Henry made me swoon and I know I will be rereading this book many of times now I know how much I love it. Even the audiobook was incredible, I listened and read at the same time. Star_rating_5_of_5

4. The fourth book was another reread. Him by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy is part ofHim by Sarina Bowen a duet and I never read the second book in said duet. Because I wasn’t really sure what the first book was about, I decided to reread it before going straight into the second one this time. I loved it a lot more this time around than I did the first time. Wes and Jamie are so cute together! Star_rating_4_of_5

Us by Sarina Bowen5. And straight into the second one. Us was even better than Him was, and I have no idea why I had to wait this long to read it.  I loved reading about what happened after Him ended. I mean I already knew some of it as I read the spin off series where they’re mentioned every once in a while but it was nice to finally know for sure what has happened.Star_rating_5_of_5

6. At the beginning of the year I decided that I was going to read or at least try to read as The Book Thief by Markus Zusakmany of my owned books that I still had to read. Currently there are at least 192 books on my shelves that I still have to read. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is a book that I read a long long time ago but never again after watching the movie. The movie kind of ruined the book for me. I decided to pick the book up again but I wasn’t enjoying it as much as I did the first time I read, which is why I only gave it Star_rating_3_of_5 this time around.

The Prenup by Lauren Layne7. Lauren Layne released The Prenup in July and I dove straight in. I was so excited for this book and I couldn’t wait to read this. It was the cutest book and as always Lauren Layne did it again. I love these kind of fake marriage kind of books, because of course they turn into real ones. This one was no different. I just love them. Star_rating_5_of_5

8. After finishing the third season of Stranger Things that ended with that Het oneindige verhaal by Michael Endescene between Dustin and Suzy, I just had to read Het Oneindige Verhaal (The Neverending Story) by Michael Ende. I also watched the movie, which I loved as much as I’ve always loved it. I didn’t enjoy the book as much as I enjoyed the movie which is why it got Star_rating_4_of_5 stars instead of the full five, but it was still incredible.

London Belongs to Me by Jacquelyn Middleton9. I’ve been really good at crossing off books that I own off of my to be read list. The next book I read was London Belongs To Me by Jacquelyn Middleton. It was a cute story but I could’ve enjoyed it more if the heroine in the story wasn’t as whiny as she was. All that happened, could’ve gone so much faster. None the less I liked the book but I’m not sure if I’ll read the second book. Star_rating_4_of_5

10. J. Daniels has been an author that when I read my first book by her, I instantly loved. Hit the Spot by J. DanielsYet I’ve had two more books by her on my shelves and it took me over a year to continue reading them. And again, like I had with the Sarina and Elle book, I can’t believe I didn’t pick it up faster. Hit the Spot was so cute and I loved it. I flew through it and I dove straight into the third book in this series. They’re all standalones but you’ll see the characters from other books appear in the one you’re reading. Star_rating_4_of_5

Bad for You by J. Daniels11. Bad For You was the third book in the series by J. Daniels. I might have loved this one even more than I did Hit the Spot but that had all to do with the fact that the couple was hyped up in the second book. I absolutely loved this and I can’t wait to read the fourth one, alas that won’t come out until October but I’ll be patiently waiting for it anyway!  Star_rating_4_of_5

12. As a subscriber of the newsletter that Elle Kennedy sends out, I was able to read Say Say Yes by Elle KennedyYes. It was only a novella and that’s the only reason why this gets Star_rating_4_of_5 stars. Because it was too darn short. I absolutely loved this. I read through it in less than half an hour and I would’ve loved to read 300 more pages if it was a full length novel.

Viper by Bex Hogan13. Book number thirteen of July is one that took me by surprise. I have been a subscriber to the Fairyloot bookboxes for the past year and a half. I decided to cancel my subscription at the end of June but I had received Viper by Bex Hogan I believe in February? I hadn’t picked it up yet but I decided to and absolutely loved this. I don’t often read YA books anymore but I did like this. I hope that Venom will be as good as this one was. Star_rating_4_of_5

14. Next I ticked off another unread book from my shelves. This was a Beauty and the Beastly by Alex FlinnBeast retelling that had been made into a movie with Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens that I loved when I first seen it. That being said I did like the movie more than I liked the book and that is something that hardly ever happens with me. Beastly was slow and I reaaaaally didn’t like the character of the witch. I know the book is part of a series with her, but I could’ve done without her. Star_rating_3_of_5

The Billionaire Boss Next Door by Max Monroe15. My sister has been trying to get me to read a Max Monroe book for ages as she loves them a lot. I did read one earlier this year but never more than that. I read The Billionaire Boss Next Door because it was part of a starting up series which I ended up loving so much. I love a good hate to love story and this one was incredible. Star_rating_4_of_5

16. The next one in the series by Max Monroe was My Brother’s My Brother's Billionaire Best Friend by Max MonroeBillionaire Best Friend which I might love even more than I loved the first book in the series. It was so cute and I do love the Brother’s BFF trope. This wasn’t any different. I absolutely flew through it. I could’ve loved it a little more if the hero wouldn’t doubt himself so much and just go for the heroine, because it was obvious that they belonged together. Star_rating_5_of_5

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata17. Ever since I started reading Mariana Zapata’s books in October last year, The Wall of Winnipeg and Me has been one of my favourites. I just love broody Aiden and spitfire Vanessa. The two of them are amazing together and they make each other better. There’s no one, in my opinion, that can write a slowburn romance like Mariana can. If I could reread these books every single day and read it like it was the first time reading it I would love it! Star_rating_5_of_5

18. And then I finally started and finished the final book by Mariana Zapata that I still Wait for It by Mariana Zapatahad left to be read. Wait for It tells the story of Diana and Dallas. Diana is mentioned in The Wall of Winnipeg as she’s Vanessa’s best friend and I was so happy to read about her HEA. After all that happened in Winnipeg it was nice to read that she too got an ending that she deserved. Wait for It Was cute and I loved it a lot! Star_rating_4_of_5

The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary19. And the final book that I read in July was The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary. It’s a cute trope, Tiffy and Leon live in the same house, but they’ve never met. They share the same bed, Tiffy has the bed/apartment from 6 at night until 9 in the morning and Leon has it during the day. Of course they were going to meet one day and it was the cutest thing ever. I loved this so much, Beth had an amazing debut novel and I can’t wait to read more by her. Star_rating_5_of_5

And that’s it. That’s the wrap up for July. I can’t believe I’ve been reading this much but I’ve loved nearly every single one of them. One more than another but over all I’m a happy reader! I’ll be seeing you next month!

PLAYING FOR KEEPS
Hot Jocks, Book 1
By Kendall Ryan
Release Day: August 13th

PlayingForKeeps-Amazon
About the Book
I’ve never been so stupid in my entire life.
Elise Parrish, my teammate’s incredibly sweet and gorgeous younger sister, should have been off-limits, but my hockey stick didn’t get the memo.
After our team won the championship, our flirting turned physical, and I took her to bed. Then shame sent her running the next morning from our catastrophic mistake.
She thinks I don’t remember that night – but every detail is burned into my brain so deeply, I’ll never forget. The feel of her in my arms, the soft whimpers of pleasure I coaxed from her perfect lips….
And now I’ve spent three months trying to get her out of my head, but I’m starting to understand she’s the only girl I’ll ever want.
I have one shot to show her I can be exactly what she needs, but Elise won’t be easily convinced.
That’s okay, because I’m good under pressure, and this time, I’m playing for keeps.

Get ready to meet your new favorite hot jocks in an all new series of stand-alone novels. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series of athlete romances is perfect for you!
