GET READY FOR || CROSSOVER COLLECTION

Hi everyone,

On the 12th of March, Kristen Proby will release 7 amazing novellas with 6 other incredible writers. I was lucky enough to receive arcs to three of the novellas, as you could’ve read in my February wrap up. I would like to tell you a bit more about them!

Soaring With Fallon Sparkle

Fallon McCarthy has climbed the corporate ladder. She’s had the office with the view, the staff, and the plaque on her door. The unexpected loss of her grandmother taught her that there’s more to life than meetings and conference calls, so she quit, and is happy to be a nomad, checking off items on her bucket list as she takes jobs teaching yoga in each place she lands in. She’s happy being free, and has no interest in being tied down.
When Noah King gets the call that an eagle has been injured, he’s not expecting to find a beautiful stranger standing vigil when he arrives. Rehabilitating birds of prey is Noah’s passion, it’s what he lives for, and he doesn’t have time for a nosy woman who’s suddenly taken an interest in Spread Your Wings sanctuary.
But Fallon’s gentle nature, and the way she makes him laugh, and feel again draws him in. When it comes time for Fallon to move on, will Noah’s love be enough for her to stay, or will he have to find the strength to let her fly?

Wicked Force Sparkle

Joslyn Meyers has taken the celebrity world by storm, drawing the attention of millions. But one fan’s affections has gone too far, and she’s running to the one place she hopes he’ll never find her – back home to Cunningham Falls.
Kynan McGrath leads The Jameson Group, a world-class security organization, and he’s ready to do what it takes to keep Joslyn safe, even if it means giving up his own life in return. The one thing he’s not prepared to lose, though, is his heart.

Crazy Stupid Love Sparkle

Abigail Darwin needs one thing in life: consistency. Okay, make that two things: consistency and order. Tired of being shackled to her obsessive-compulsive mind, Abigail is determined to break free. Which is why she’s shaking things up.
Fresh out of nursing school, she takes a traveling nurse position. A new job in a new city every few months? That’s a sure-fire way to keep her from settling down and falling into old habits. First stop, Cunningham Falls, Montana.
The only problem? She didn’t plan on falling in love with the quaint little town, and she sure as heck didn’t plan on falling for its resident surgeon, Dr. Drake Merritt
Laid back, messy, and spontaneous, Drake is everything she’s not. But he is completely smitten by the new, quirky nurse working on the med-surg floor of the hospital.
Abby puts up a good fight, but Drake is determined to break through her carefully erected walls to find out what makes her tick. And sigh and moan and smile and laugh. Because he really loves her laugh.
But falling in love isn’t part of Abby’s plan. Will Drake have what it takes to convince her that the best things in life come from doing what scares us the most?

Worth Fighting For Sparkle

Getting in deep has never felt this good…
Commercial diving instructor Tara Hunter nearly lost everything in an accident that saw her medically discharged from the navy. With the help of the Warrior Fight Club, she’s fought hard to overcome her fears and get back in the water where she’s always felt most at home. At work, she’s tough, serious, and doesn’t tolerate distractions. Which is why finding her gorgeous one-night stand on her new dive team is such a problem.
Former navy deep-sea diver Jesse Anderson just can’t seem to stop making mistakes—the latest being the hot-as-hell night he’d spent with his new partner. This job is his second chance, and Jesse knows he shouldn’t mix business with pleasure. But spending every day with Tara’s smart mouth and sexy curves makes her so damn hard to resist.
Joining a wounded warrior MMA training program seems like the perfect way to blow off steam—until Jesse finds that Tara belongs too. Now they’re getting in deep and taking each other down day and night, and even though it breaks all the rules, their inescapable attraction might just be the only thing truly worth fighting for.

Nothing Without You Sparkle

Designing wedding cakes is Maisey Henderson’s passion. She puts her heart and soul into every cake she makes, especially since she’s such a believer in true love. But then Tucker McCloud rolls back into town, reminding her that love is a complete joke. The pro football player is the hottest thing to come out of Cunningham Falls—and the boy who broke Maisey’s heart back in high school.
He claims he wants another chance. She says absolutely not. But Maisey’s refusal is the ultimate challenge to Tucker. Life is a game, and Tucker’s playing to win Maisey’s heart—forever.

All Stars Fall Sparkle

She left.
Two words I can’t really get out of my head.
She left us.
Three more words that make it that much worse.
Three being another word I can’t seem to wrap my mind around.
Three kids under the age of six, and she left because she missed it. Because her dream had never been to have a family, no her dream had been to marry a rockstar and live the high life.
Moving my recording studio to Seaside Oregon seems like the best idea in the world right now especially since Seaside Oregon has turned into the place for celebrities to stay and raise families in between touring and producing. It would be lucrative to make the move, but I’m doing it for my kids because they need normal, they deserve normal. And me? Well, I just need a break and help, that too. I need a sitter and fast. Someone who won’t flip me off when I ask them to sign an Iron Clad NDA, someone who won’t sell our pictures to the press, and most of all? Someone who looks absolutely nothing like my ex-wife.
He’s tall.
That was my first instinct when I saw the notorious Trevor Wood, drummer for the rock band Adrenaline, in the local coffee shop. He ordered a tall black coffee which made me smirk, and five minutes later I somehow agreed to interview for a nanny position. I couldn’t help it; the smaller one had gum stuck in her hair while the eldest was standing on his feet and asking where babies came from. He looked so pathetic, so damn sexy and pathetic that rather than be star-struck, I took pity. I knew though; I knew the minute I signed that NDA, the minute our fingers brushed and my body became insanely aware of how close he was—I was in dangerous territory, I just didn’t know how dangerous until it was too late. Until I fell for the star and realized that no matter how high they are in the sky—they’re still human and fall just as hard.

Hold On Sparkle

Autumn O’Dea has always tried to see the best in people while her big brother, Killian, has always tried to protect her from the worst. While their lonely upbringing made Killian a cynic, it isn’t in Autumn’s nature to be anything but warm and open. However, after a series of relationship disasters and the unsettling realization that she’s drifting aimlessly through life, Autumn wonders if she’s left herself too vulnerable to the world. Deciding some distance from the security blanket of her brother and an unmotivated life in Glasgow is exactly what she needs to find herself, Autumn takes up her friend’s offer to stay at a ski resort in the snowy hills of Montana. Some guy-free alone time on Whitetail Mountain sounds just the thing to get to know herself better.
However, she wasn’t counting on colliding into sexy Grayson King on the slopes. Autumn has never met anyone like Gray. Confident, smart, with a wicked sense of humor, he makes the men she dated seem like boys. Her attraction to him immediately puts her on the defense because being open-hearted in the past has only gotten it broken. Yet it becomes increasingly difficult to resist a man who is not only determined to seduce her, but adamant about helping her find her purpose in life and embrace the person she is. Autumn knows she shouldn’t fall for Gray. It can only end badly. After all their lives are divided by an ocean and their inevitable separation is just another heart break away…

About ONLY WITH YOU

Carter Sloane is famous for one thing: winning cases. He’s sharp, astute, and always gets his way. In his private life, he’s constantly fumbling his way around when it comes to raising his two nieces.

When he moves into a new office, he just can’t take his eyes off the fiercely independent woman across the street. He’d love to touch and kiss that irresistible body.

Valentina “Val” Connor is proud of her booming fragrance company. If only she were half as successful in her love life… Between trusting the wrong men and sheer bad luck, Val is convinced she’ll never find the one.

However, the sexy lawyer in the neighborhood with his sophisticated charm and sex-appeal is hell bent on proving to her that she’s wrong. Val’s senses warn her to stay away from men like him-even if her body is begging her to cave.

But when she finds out about Carter’s nieces, she steps in to help, doting on them with love and care. She can’t believe that the same man who is usually in control is completely in over his head with the girls.

But as Val and Carter grow closer, one thing is clear to him: He’d move mountains to make her happy, but with Val’s career soaring, how can he ask her to commit to the chaos of his life?

My Review

For over 3 years I’ve been devouring any book that Layla Hagen puts out into the world. First the Bennett family series and then straight on to the Connors. Only With You was gifted to me as an arc, I love being on Layla’s VIP list and being able to read her books before anyone (well besides other bloggers on her list) can read them.

Only with You was highly anticipated by me as I couldn’t wait to read who Val would fall in love with, she needed someone to take care of her for once instead of her taking care of her siblings. I loved this so much, making it a solid 4 stars from me!

Val and Carter had such amazing chemistry from the very start and Carter’s nieces were the perfect add to the family. I love the crazy Friday dinners with the Connor’s, how protective Val’s brothers are and how they all try to set up Jace.

Thank you once again for an incredible read, this was another amazing read. I can’t wait what is next in store for the Connors!

WRAP UP || FEBRUARY 2019

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my second wrap up of 2019. I didn’t think I’d be able to read as many books in February as I did in January but I even surpassed it with one extra. All the while working a lot and even having 3 days less in the month. I had an amazing reading month and I can’t wait to let you know which books I read. That being said, I read a couple of arcs I was provided by the authors, I read some amazing others and even reread some favourites of mine. I read a total of 22 books in February in the span of 28 days.In February I read the following books, with a little thought on them and my star rating on them! Here we go, in order:

Needing Him by Kennedy Fox1. The first book I read in February was the second book in the Bishop Brothers series; Keeping Him told the story of brother Evan and omg was it a hot one. I loved the hatred between Evan and Emily, but loved the ending even more! I gave this book a solid 5 stars on the Goodreads rating!

2. The second book I finished was the incredible King of Scars by Leigh King of Scars by Leigh BardugoBardugo. I’ve been anticipating this book so much and even though it took me nearly a week to read, I LOVED it so so much. Of course this was another big fat 5 stars from me!

Chasing Him by Kennedy Fox3. After finishing King of Scars I continued on with the Bishop Brothers as I still had two of the books to go and I was excited to return to their Texas ranch. Chasing Him has one of my favourite tropes in romance books ever, the single dad/nanny trope and it was an incredible one. John is such a dreamy guy and I loved reading his story with the baby that was suddenly dropped in his life. Another 5 stars.

4. The last book in the series was Keeping Him and had another favourite Keeping Him by Kennedy Foxin it. The Childhood friends to lovers one is one that is either hit or miss with me. I loved this one, while I cursed out the characters in this book for being bloody stubborn, I flew through it. Do I even need to tell you how many stars this book got from me?

Checkmate by Kennedy Fox5. I did realize while reading the first four books by Kennedy Fox that perhaps I should’ve started with another series that did eventually tell the story by the brothers sister. I started the Checkmate series with This is War. Another hate to love story and it was so good. The first book got three stars from me!

6. My sixth book was the second book in this duet, namely This is Love it Checkmate by Kennedy Foxcontinues on straight after the ending of This is War. I loved reading this series as much as I loved the first four books I read by Kennedy Fox. This is War and This is Love are a best friend’s little sister series and you guessed it, I love that. I devoured these books so fast!

This is Reckless by Kennedy Fox7. Next up was the next duet in the Checkmate series, starting with This is Reckless. This book is the book that features Courtney, sister to the Bishop Brothers and I couldn’t wait to read her story as it is mentioned occasionally through the Bishop Brothers. This is Reckless received four stars, I loved Courtney so much, her stress baking and that she and Drew started out as friends/ roommates. But UGH did I hate Drew’s previous girlfriend.

8. This is Effortless is the second book in this duet and again it continuesThis Is Effortless by Kennedy Fox straight off from the point where the first book ended. These books are such quick reads and I liked it a lot. Courtney and Drew had a lot of hurdles to jump over before getting their HEA and I was there for them, cheering them on every single page throughout these two books.

This is Dangerous by Kennedy Fox9. Straight on to the last duet in this series. This is Dangerous tells the story of Kayla and Logan. The main characters in these books are mentioned throughout the first two duets and I was rooting for them before even going into their story. Another single dad story, and I am a sucker for hot single dads (fictional ones at least). The ending to this book though, omg I was so happy I could continue straight on into the next one.

10. After the ending of the previous one, I couldn’t not continue straight This is Beautiful by Kennedy Foxon with This is Beautiful. I had to know what was going to happen next and to know if this was going to end in a good way. Heck I knew it was and still wanted to know what was going to happen. I am both sad and happy that these books had ended. For some reason I would’ve liked these books more if each duet would’ve just been a single book, I am not that keen on having multiple books for one couple (with exceptions here or there).

Huge Deal by Lauren Layne11. Whenever Lauren Layne releases a new book, I’m mostly there. Ever since first reading books by her back in 2016, I’ve been hooked and this 21 Wall Street series has been on top of that list. I think Huge Deal is the final one in the series, but I’ve loved the previous two and was SO happy for Kennedy and Kate to get their own story. They were very well hinted on in the previous two books and I couldn’t wait to find out more about them. Lauren Layne will always get 5 stars from me.

12. Next on this never ending list is The Risk by Elle Kennedy. If you ever The Risk by Elle Kennedywant to read a quick, but incredible read then make sure to pick up anything by Elle Kennedy. She is my go to author when I want to read something funny, laugh out loud and with incredible steamy scenes. The Risk was not an exception. Back in the day I devoured the books in the Off Campus series but these spin off; Briar U series I might just love just as much. Jake and Brenna were such an amazing couple. I would love to have my own Jake Connelly, can someone make that happen?

Boyfriend for Hire by Kendall Ryan13. Next up was Kendall Ryan’s newest release, Boyfriend for Hire. Nic was such a dreamy guy and while he was conflicted about wanting Elle or wanting to continue on with his job, being a top paid escort, I knew he was going to keep on falling for Elle and never look back towards his job. Although I will miss his lunches with the older lady, they were so cute and I felt like he needed her more than she needed him hehe. Boyfriend for Hire received 4 stars from me.

14. For over 3 years I’ve been devouring any book that Layla Hagen puts Image may contain: 2 people, textout into the world. First the Bennett family series and then straight on to the Connor’s.

Thirty Day Boyfriend by Whitney G.15. I read a good amount of Whitney G books in 2018 but I still have some to go. When I was looking for a quick but incredible read to read after my previous book, I came across Thirty Day Boyfriend and dove straight in. Her shorter books are fun, easy to read but they pull you in none the less. My kindle app on my phone was making extra hours this month and I don’t mind one bit. I gave this book 4 stars and some incredible highlights if you ever want to check them out.

16. I felt the need to dive back into a world with familiar characters, Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuirenamely the characters that properly got me into romance books back in the day. Beautiful Disaster was a book that I picked up randomly from an online story and devoured from the first pace. I think that I’ve read it at least 4 or 5 times over the last few years, the first time being in 2012. I loved meeting back up with Travis and Abby and my 5 star rating didn’t change. Maybe not because of the book, but more for the nostalgia I felt reading this again.

Over Us, Over You by Whitney G.17. Maybe last year or the year before, my sister was reading the next book on the train and kept laughing and pointing out things in the books, but I had yet to pick it up. Over Us, Over You by Whitney G is a book that has been on my ereader for a while but I hadn’t picked up yet. After reading Thirty Day Boyfriend I was in the mood for another book by her and decided to finally give this a go. I am glad to say that I absolutely loved it, I was a little sad I didn’t pick it up sooner. As mentioned before the best friend’s little sister trope is one I love and this wasn’t an exception.

18. A few weeks ago I got an email from one of my favourite authors. Simply a news Hold On by Samantha Youngletter but it had a sign up for this arc blast for a new series that she was participating in. Hold On was the novella that she wrote in this series but it also had a sign up for other ones in the series. I loved her one, as it was a novella that could also be part of one of her series and I jumped on the chance to read it. Hold On tells the story of Killian’s sister (Killian is the hero in Play On) and I LOVED it so much. Three stars from me.

All Stars Fall by Rachel Van Dyken19. Next up was All Stars Fall by Rachel van Dyken. Also part of the same series as the one above. I had never read anything by Rachel but I absolutely loved this one and I will make sure to read more by her. I have heard a lot about her writing from people around Goodreads and other blogs and I was happy to finally read something by her and end up loving it so much as I did. All Stars Fall tells the story of Trevor and Penelope and yes is another single dad/nanny story. This one got a solid four stars.

20. The last one of the novellas that I received in this series was Wicked Wicked Force by Sawyer BennettForce by Sawyer Bennet. Sawyer’s books are a bit hit and miss with me but I really liked this one. The only downside to these being novellas is that everything is fast paced and that it’s over before I realised it. Wicked Force was such a cute but incredible story and I want more more more! I might just pick up the other ones in this series eventually. Wicked Force closed with three stars.

Surprise Delivery by R.R. Banks21. The next book I read in February was one that I picked up on a whim through a romance newsletter thing I receive through email and I ended up loving it more than I ever thought I would. Surprise Delivery by R.R. Banks was another first by a new to me author. I really liked this and hey, a hot doctor is always nice to read about haha. I will make sure to pick up more by this author one day and see if I’ll enjoy it as much as I did this one.

22. Lastly I read another favourite of mine. Preppy; Part One is an all timePreppy by T.M. Frazier favourite, or at least the author is. I loved Preppy all throughout the other books and when he got his own series of books, back in 2016, I made sure to read them. After rereading the first 4 books in the King series at the end of last year, I finally got to rereading the three books that make up Preppy and Dre’s story. Of course this received five stars from me as I will always hand Tracey my five star ratings, every single one of her books is better than the last.

And with that I conclude my February wrap up, how did you do in February? Did you end up reading what you wanted to read? Did you discover anything new that you ended up loving? Let me know and I hope to see you again soon with another post!
Love,
Daphne

THE HOOKUP HANDBOOK
By Kendall Ryan
Release Day: March 19th

About the Book
My love wand is on a strike.

As bad as that blows, pun unintended, it’s ten times worse for me. I’m a male escort, but not just any escort, I’m the escort. The one with a mile-long waiting list and a pristine reputation that’s very well-deserved.

Only now, I’m on hiatus. Because after years of pleasing women all over the city, my man missile decides to get finicky. And the only woman he wants? Someone I can never have—my best friend’s younger sister, the nerdy and awkwardly adorable Sienna.

She’s working at the agency this summer, keeping me organized, handling paperwork, and most importantly, keeping me on track to finish writing my book about sex and intimacy, which is due to my publisher in thirty days.

She thinks I hate her, that I don’t want her here. The truth is much more twisted. I get hard every time she walks into my office. Her wide blue eyes and pouty mouth drive me wild with desire, and if she stays, I’m not sure how much longer I can stay away from her.

Little Miss Overachiever says she’s here to help? Fine. I’m going to put her nerdy, curvy tush to work.

REVIEW || THE INNOCENT WIFE

A1jT79LLawL

Title: The Innocent Wife
Author: Amy Lloyd
Publisher: Hanover Square Press
Published on: 25 January 2018
Pagecount: 336
ISBN: 978 133 595 3735

The Innocent Wife is written by Amy Lloyd and tells the story of Sam and Dennis. Dennis Danson is the subject of a true crime series (a la Making a Murderer) in which the network tries to uncover the truth about the murder case he was involved in. Did he do it, or did he not? Sam follows the series closely and starts writing letters to Dennis, letters that start getting more and more intimate as they go on. She visits him in prison and starts fighting for him, eventually as his wife, to get him free of his Death Row sentence. When the campaign succeeds and Dennis is released, Sam starts doubting his stories. Is he really as innocent as he says he is, and what does Dennis really know about the girls that disappeared twenty years before.

It was that description of the book that got me all excited to read this. I wanted to read this book so badly because I hoped it would bring the same thrill that the true crime documentaries on Netflix bring me. I love watching them because I like researching and finding out if someone really did or didn’t do something. I like getting into the mind of a person, as well as that is allowed in these documentaries of course. I heard a lot about this book on Goodreads and my twitter feed. The book was blurbed as addicting and completely twister.

It’s been a while since I read this book, but when I watched the Ted Bundy documentary, I saw some similarities. For example how a young, handsome, charismatic man is being prosecuted for murder, is on the Florida Death Row. How someone is able to have a relationship whilst there. Of course it’s not exactly the same, but there definitely are some similarities. Ted Bundy married while in prison and even was able to conceive a child.

Sam is a 31 year old woman from England. She’s always felt really alone and felt the need to need something or someone to believe in. In Dennis Danson she finds both. It all starts when she sees the documentary; “Framing the truth: the murder of Holly Michaels”. The documentary is about Dennis, who is locked up on Death Row for the murder of a young girl. Dennis has always sworn that he is innocent and a large group of supporters tries to get him out and proof his innocence.

After seeing the documentary, Sam gets completely obsessed with the case. She can talk about it for hours with other ‘researchers’ from behind her computer screen. Together they discuss the case and other suspects and theories. Then she finds out that there’s going to be a new documentary about him and she writes him a letter…

The letters start getting intimate fast and I had the idea that there was supposed to be so much more in between that wasn’t there, which I found disappointing. I would’ve loved to read all of their letters, I am nearly ashamed that I was that involved in the book. I loved the first part of the book, but it seemed to freeze after a while and then start going in different directions. I wanted to find out how it was going to end, but even though the ending was a surprise, it was confusing and concluded too quickly. I don’t want to give anything away because I hate that with a passion but the entire book is a slowburner and the thrill is build up slowly. But when the final pages were quickly and explosive, I wasn’t too sure what to think of it.

I do recommend this book to everyone who likes shows like Making a Murderer, this is what you’re looking for! All in all I like this book a lot, you’re completely pulled into the story. The only thing that I didn’t like is that Sam would constantly talk herself down; she wasn’t pretty enough, she was too big, she was ugly. Other than that, GO READ THIS!

JANUARY WRAP UP

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my first wrap up of 2019. I’ve decided that I really really want to get this blog thing of the ground more than I am currently doing and I thought this might be a good way to start it off. I’ve always been a fast reader and normally read about 150 books a year. However I started off 2019 reading 21 books in just the first month. If I keep this up (which I do hope) I will be finishing the year off with nearly 250 books, which would be incredible but as my goal is set at 100 books now, nowhere near expected to be reached.

In January I read the following books, with a little thought on them and my star rating on them! Here we go, in order:

Run to Me by Lilian Monroe1. The first book I read in 2019 was the last book in a trilogy by Lilian Monroe. Run to Me was a book that I loved but I’m not really into the insta love thing. Therefore the book only received 3 stars from me!

Rinkeldekink by Martine Bijl

2. My second book of the year was a book I read for review. Rinkeldekink is written by one of my favourite Dutch actresses/presenters and tells about her stroke and her recovery from this. It was beautiful, but my review is already up so go read that if you’re interested! I gave this book 3 stars.

Rookie In Love by Sarah White3. My third read was a book I received through NetGalley. Rookie in Love was a book that I thought I’d absolutely love but wasn’t that at all.. Everything happened SO fast and I ended up giving it only 2 stars.

4. When Dimple Met Rishi has been on my tbr pile for at least two years When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menonand I finally picked it up after putting it on my PopSugar challenge list for 2019. I ended up liking it but not loving it as I’ve well and truly outgrown my YA comtemporaries! I gave it 3 stars, it was cute but I didn’t love it.

The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen5. The Year We Fell Down was a reread for me, although technically I listened to it through Audible. Sarina Bowen is one of my favourite authors out there and I can never get enough of. I gave this audiobook 5 stars and dove right into the second one after finishing.

6. My sixth book was The Sun is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon. Another book that was on The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoonmy shelves for a long while but which I ended up not liking too much. Another YA book that yeah I’ve well and truly grown out off and which I will be donating as I don’t see myself reading it ever again. I ended up giving it 3 stars.

The Year We Hid Away by Sarina Bowen7. As said earlier, my next audiobook was the second book in the Ivy Years series by Sarina Bowen, that being The Year We Hid Away. I LOVE this book so much, every single book by Sarina is able to drag you right into the story and I am in love with these characters so much. Another 5 stars from me.

8. Next up was a series that I started years ago but never finished, and boyCaptive Prince by C.S. Pacat did I regret not finishing this up! Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat starts off this series with a fictional bang. While I read this one before, I forgot so much about this book already and I am so happy I decided to reread this and not skip it and go straight for the second one. This got 4 stars from me.

Prince's Gambit by C.S. Pacat9. Of course I continued on with the series this time and it was Prince’s Gambit ’s turn for a read. I had not read this one before and omg do I regret it now.. this was already so much more intriguing than the first and it dragged me from the very first page. I was so excited to see what would happen to Damen and Laurent that I finished it in 2 days and dove straight into the third. 5 big happy stars from me.

10. Of course Kings Rising was next and boy was it a great one. This book will go down Kings Rising by C.S. Pacatas the book that I lost all my post it tabs on. There were so many amazing bits that I want to remember that my entire book is covered in tabs and all the colours! Another 5 stars and an enormous book hangover to boot.

Lingus by Mariana Zapata11. Lingus by Mariana Zapata was the book that dragged me out of said book hangover and had me laugh out loud so many times. The thing that I love most about Mariana’s books is that they’re such slow burners that by the end of it my heart aches for the release and I loved this one just as much! It got 4 stars from me, I read and listened to this book on and off ❤

12. Next was Dear Aaron by Mariana Zapata. Can you tell that I love her Dear Aaron by Mariana Zapataalready? Dear Aaron is told mainly in emails, texts and IM messages and I am HERE for that. I love books that develop through emails, they’re so cute. I loved this book and gave it 4 stars.

Tangled Like Us by Krista Ritchie13. My review on GR for Tangled Like Us read as followed: Omg omg omg omg omg… Jane and Thatcher.. what did I just read.. and is it bad I already want to go for a reread? That was incredible! and I stick to that point. 5 stars from me for Jane Cobalt and Thatcher Moretti.

14. Overnight Sensation by Sarina Bowen is next, and guess what; I lovedOvernight Sensation by Sarina Bowen this so much. Heidi and Jason were so cute even though Jason resisted for so long haha. I had a clue about her dad from the very start and turned out I was right! Thank you so much Sarina, again, for the arc (through Nina of course) and I will be on the lookout for the next book!

The Wicked King by Holly Black15. The Wicked King by Holly Black was highly anticipated after reading The Cruel Prince last year. And boy it didn’t disappoint! I can’t believe we’ll have to wait more than a year before we get to read the next book! I can’t wait, and of course this got 5 stars from me!

16. One of my go to romance/NA authors is K.A. Tucker so whenever sheBe the Girl by K.A. Tucker brings out a new book, I will be the first one to read it. Be The Girl was no exception, even if it was a YA book instead of NA. I loved this book so much. Cassie’s character, was incredible and as someone who works with people on the spectrum, I recognized SO much in her. I definitely recommend this! I give this 4 stars

The Deal by Elle Kennedy17. Next up is another reread by one of my favourite authors, namely Elle Kennedy. The Deal is such a cute book. It’s not complicated but it’s sweet and you get sucked into the story right away. I first read this 4 years ago and I think i fell in love all over again. 5 stars!

18. The Mistake is the second book in the Off Campus series by Elle The Mistake by Elle KennedyKennedy and swoon I want my very own Logan. I don’t care if he’s flawed or whatever is going on with him, I want someone like him haha. Another 5 stars

The Score by Elle Kennedy19. Next up, The Score, which tells the long awaited story of Dean Di Laurentis and it had another swoon worthy guy in it. Allie and Dean are such opposites and therefore are so good together. I am so in love with this series and all these characters! Again, 5 stars.

20. And fourth one is, The Goal, after reading a little bit about Tucker and Sabrina at the end of the The Goal by Elle Kennedythird book, I couldn’t not dive straight into this. Mind that I was at home with the flu and while I wasn’t sleeping I was reading because these characters man ❤ Another big fat 5 stars.

Taming Him by Kennedy Fox21. The last book I finished this month, was Taming Him by Kennedy Fox. A new author to me but I read so much about them on bookstagram that I couldn’t not finally start this. I realized after finishing this that there’s other books that precede this one but I didn’t care as it is a stand alone series so it didn’t matter too much. I ended up giving this 4 stars.

I did start my 22nd book, which is King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo but I won’t be finishing that one in January, which is okay. I will wrap it up at the end of February hehe. If you made it through to the end of this book, you’re a trooper. Thank you so much!

Love,
Daphne
