COVER REVEAL || Hate the Player

I can hate the player but still secretly love his addictive game.

I’m sure of it.

Hate the Player, an all-new enemies to lovers romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe is coming August 13th and we have the smokin’ hot cover!

Hate the Player (official 9x6)

“Roses are red, violets are blue, stay away from Andrew Watson’s *ahem* because no other women ever do.”

That’s quite the way to start a conversation at a casual lunch, huh? Grilled chicken, French fries, and pelvic-fatigue, oh my!

And that’s not even the worst of it.

My friend Raquel didn’t pull any punches when she warned me about my brand-new costar and his notoriously player-esque ways. Apparently, my most important mission on my first role in a feature film is to stay immune to his charms.

Are you kidding me? Production costs on this movie are in the hundreds of thousands a day, and staying away from a panty-whispering, vajayjay-charmer is supposed to be at the top of my list? Pfft. Puh-lease.

It doesn’t matter that he’s annoyingly attractive, uber rich, crazy famous, and lusted after by ninety percent of the female population; Andrew Watson is trouble with a capital T—especially for a woman like me.

As a preventative measure, I’ve decided to go ahead and hate him.

Don’t worry, you guys, I’m completely in control. There’s absolutely no way I’m going to do something stupid like fall in love with him.

I can hate the player but still secretly love his addictive game.

I’m sure of it.

REVIEW || The Dare

The Dare 2019 - Ebook Small

my review

I was so happy when I found out Conor was getting his own book as I loved him in the previous ones.
Taylor was a breath of fresh air into his life.

But omg I didn’t see that twist in the story coming. This book was so much more than a cute fluffy romance, it took that romance and lifted it up into a much bigger storyline which I loved.
I think this book is important. It’s too easy for girls to take what is happening to them, been done to them and just let it slide because it comes with a certain body that you get..
It is so much more than just having to deal with being catcalled by anyone and letting it slide..
It’s time to stand up for ourselves no matter what our body looks like.

This was incredible and thank you so much for this arc edition of The Dare!

my review

Samantha Young has been one of my favourite authors for years now. When I realised that she was releasing a paranormal romance I knew I had to at least give it a try, even if it’s normally not really something I would read. When I found out that I could sign up for an arc, I took my chance and I was lucky enough to receive a copy.

Thea and Conall are a force to be reckoned with and I absolutely loved reading their relationship form and create their bond together. I wasn’t to sure how I would feel about the werewolf part in the book, but I knew that I would be able to read through it. But I didn’t have to, I LOVED it so much.

WRAP UP || September

Hi lovelies,

It’s time for the my monthly wrap up post. This is being written a day early as I will be going on a two week holiday to Wales on the day of posting, but thank god for scheduled posts huh? I read a total of 20 books this month. Last week I didn’t think I would read 20 but as I got sick last week I managed to get 9 books in in the last week and omg how? I did some rereading this month for new releases coming out. I made use of my Kindle Unlimited as I read so many through there! I bought a second hand kindle Paperwhite last month which means I won’t have to read through the kindle app and it’s so nice! Anyway, here we go!

Lovers Like Us by Krista Ritchie1. I started September off with a reread of the Like Us books. As I had already read Damaged Like Us earlier this year, I decided to continue to listen and read Lovers Like Us. Normally I commute to work by train, but my sister was on holiday the first three weeks of September so I was able to borrow her car. I listened to the audio books for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th book in the Like Us series. I love them so much!Star_rating_5_of_5

2. Of course I continued on with Alphas Like Us as soon as I finished LLU. Alphas Like Us by Krista RitchieThe fifth book in the series would be coming out with month and I wanted to be caught up again in all that happens in this series! Alphas might be my second favourite of the Marrow books, as it is okay but not as good as Lovers.Star_rating_5_of_5

Tangled Like Us by Krista Ritchie3. Then it was time to reread Tangled Like Us. I love Jane and Thatcher so much it’s unreal and I loved rereading their story again. Or the start of their story I should say as the fifth book is about them as well. Jane is a girl to my heart, she loves her cats, is confident in herself and doesn’t know what her passion is. I feel like that sometimes too. I love what I do but sometimes I doubt if it’s something what I’d do for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to read Sinful Like Us now that I’m all caught up again! I want to know what happens next so so bad.Star_rating_5_of_5

4. Of course, me being me, I finished the previous series before the new book would The Secret Girl by C.M. Stunichrelease and I had to bide some time before I could go into that one. I decided to pick up a new series by C.M. Stunich. I read a series by her last month which I really enjoyed and I thought I’d pick up another one. The series starts with The Secret Girl about Charlotte who goes to an all boys school as her dad is headmaster there. The book was fun and I really enjoyed it but I wish it would’ve gone a bit faster than it did now. I do love her group of guys though. Star_rating_4_of_5

The Ruthless Boys by C.M. Stunich5. Onto book two, The Ruthless Boys, this series is a fun read, sadly enough the series isn’t finished yet and I will have to wait for the conclusion! This book was a good read though, I loved reading what Charlotte and the boys would get up to this time around. Their relationships developed and I just loved the twins. The book did give me a bit of a Ouran High School Host Club vibe, but then again it is mentioned several times in the book two xDStar_rating_4_of_5

6. Then it was FINALLY time to read Sinful Like Us the book that comes next in the LikeSinful Like Us by Krista Ritchie Us series. I loved this book. I am not going to spoil anything as I know there’s a lot of people still wanting to read this. I will just say that I know that KB got a lot of hate for some parts in this book and that just makes me really upset. You can’t pass judgement on a book that has not been released yet, there’s nothing to judge. I will be keeping my eye out for the book and I can’t wait to read it. For now Krista and Becca have yet to disappoint me. Star_rating_4_of_5

If It's Only Love by Lexi Ryan7. September was a month with so many new releases that I really really wanted to read as soon as possible! If It’s Only Love was no different. Lexi Ryan has been writing the series over the past year (?) and I am absolutely loving them. I think this is the final book in the series for now but it was another incredible read. I am going to miss these girls and guys so much! Star_rating_5_of_5

8. Next up is The Billionaire Book Club and we finally get to read Cap’s story. Cap who The Billionaire Book Club by Max Monroewas ‘narrating’ the other books in this series telling us he would be the ultimate bachelor while his friends fell in love around him. I loved this book. I love that the billionaires get a book club made up because Cap wants to impress his girl and he doesn’t know how. I love Thatch so so much! He was so funny. I can’t wait to find out what is next by Max Monroe! Star_rating_5_of_5

Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow9. And then it was time for what feels like the biggest book on my bookshelf. It’s not, actually, but with it’s 731 pages it is still a beast. I started reading Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow a few years ago, but I didn’t get really far. This time I was set on finishing it and boy did I do it. I loved this so much. I loved seeing moments where Lin Manuel-Miranda got his inspiration from, some lines that are actually in the musical and Ron Chernow has such a way with words in this. I think I’ve never highlighted a book more than I’ve done with this one.Star_rating_4_of_5

10. My tenth book in September was the newest release by Tia Louise, Boss of Me. I loveBoss of Me by Tia Louise a good enemies to lovers story line and this was one for the books (literally). I loved this so much and I flew through it. As I said I made good use of my KU and this was one of the books that I read through that. I am so happy that I found Tia as an author, she has written some incredible books and Boss of Me is definitely one of them! I can’t wait to find out what will be next for her. Star_rating_4_of_5

Love on Lexington Avenue by Lauren Layne11. Lauren Layne has been one of my favourite authors for a long time and I will always read her new releases. But especially this one I was looking forward to. Passion on Park Avenue was already incredible, Love on Lexington might even been better than that one. I loved the premise of the story and especially the story line in this one was incredible. I can’t wait to find out what will happen in the last book in this series! Mind you they can be read separately! Star_rating_4_of_5

12. Time to continue my reread of the Throne of Glass series. Mind you I started last yearQueen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas October! But I continued where I left off and that was Queen of Shadows. It’s only the second time I’m reading this but I forgot how much I loved this series and how each book just keeps getting better and better. I just love Aelin and all the others. I love how she hides her plans until the last minute and ends up giving especially Rowan and Aedion a heart attack when they’re revealed. I can’t wait to continue on! Star_rating_5_of_5

All the Way by Kendall Ryan13. Time for another new release in September. Namely the newest release by Kendall Ryan. All the Way tells the story of Becca and Owen. Becca has has been sexually assaulted whilst in college and has never done anything remotely sexual since then. When drunk she tells her best friend Owen that she wants him to help her get there again. Because she feels like she wants to. Of course they end up falling in love with each other and this might’ve been the cutest one I’ve read by Kendall so far! Star_rating_4_of_5

14. Time for another book by C.M. Stunich. I became a member of her Facebook group Groupie by C.M. Stunichand they kept talking about one of her series and I just knew I had to read it. Groupie is the first in the series and let’s us meet Lilith who after a break up with her ex, and then her father passing away ends up at a concert for the band Beauty in Lies. She wants to sell the tickets her ex got her as she needs gas money. It seems that there’s a contest going on and without realizing she wins it, she finds one of the band members and it allowed backstage to the concert. And from there on it all starts happening. Star_rating_4_of_5

Roadie by C.M. Stunich15. Roadie continues on right after Groupie ends. Lilith and her boys continue on with the tour and they become more and more inseparable. I loved this trilogy a lot. I have not read a lot of Reverse Harem books but this might be my favourite out of the ones I’ve read so far. It was also the more mature one, dealing with more mature themes than the previous two I read by C.M. After finishing this I went straight into Moxie, as I simply had to know how this was going to end. Star_rating_4_of_5

16. Moxie was the perfect conclusion to this trilogy. Whilst I will not tell you how it ends, Moxie by C.M. Stunichof course, cause I am not that cruel. I do like how it ended. I feel like it was a proper ending to a trilogy that had as much angst as it had love and I was so intrigued by these books that I read them in less than two days and simply couldn’t stop reading them. Cause let’s face it, wouldn’t we all dream of a group of guys completely idolizing us? Star_rating_4_of_5

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas17. After finishing Queen of Shadows I knew that I had to read Empire of Storms soon. The book that ripped out my heart when I first read it when I realized just what had happened at the very end and then I had to wait two year to read how it would unfold as Sarah decided to tell Chaol’s story first. I loved Tower of Dawn but omg after and ending like EoS, I couldn’t just go on and wait for two year to find out what was going to happen to Aelin and her group of people! Empire of Storms was a ride from start to finish and I LOVED it. Star_rating_5_of_5

18. I decided to read When We Kiss next, one that has been on my kindle for a while andWhen We Kiss by Tia Louise actually the reason why I got my KU. I ended up realizing it’s actually the second book in this but that’s okay, you can read them in whatever order you want to read them in. But Tabby and Chad, swoon, they were perfect together, I absolutely loved this book so much. Star_rating_4_of_5

When We Touch by Tia Louise19. Next up was the other book. When We Touch tells the story of Emberly and Jackson. Emberly is Tabby’s best friend and we meet her in When We Kiss. I loved this book so much. Ember and Jackson were together ten years before until Jackson left for college. He promised he would be back but never came back and Ember was left behind devastated. When Jackson needs a change of scenery he returns to Oceanside and thinks Ember must be long gone, can you imagine the shock when he realizes she’s still there?!  Star_rating_4_of_5

20. And then guys, my perfect four and five star September months, was interrupted byMommy's Boyfriend by Victoria Snow the following book. Mommy’s Boyfriend by Veronica Snow was a book that I picked up purely because of the premise. It sounded promising but it was anything but. It was such a shame because I wanted to really really love this but I just didn’t… I ended up giving the book Star_rating_2_of_5 stars for a whole lot of reasons. The full review is up on my Goodreads if you want to find out more.

And that was it guys, All the books that I read in September and I absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to find out what October brings me!

Wrap Up || June

Hi loves,

And then we were at the end of June already.. What?! How did this year fly by so quickly? I topped off my June by reading my 108th book, what? I know I’ve been flying through books but I’m on a role and I will be taking advantage of it before I get in that reading slump and won’t get anything done! In June I read a total of 16 books, some on audio, some in physical form and others as ebooks. I am loving these wrap ups, because I get to reflect on my reading! So here we go;

Coldhearted Boss by R.S. Grey1. The first book I read in June was an arc I received of Coldhearted Boss by R.S. Grey. Now Rachel’s books always get me in the best mood while reading them and Coldhearted Boss wasn’t any different. I’ve said it before but I will say it again, I am a sucker for a good enemies to lovers story and combine that with Rachel’s witty storytelling and you got an incredible book. I gave this book a whopping Star_rating_5_of_5 stars so I started June pretty well!

2. After having listened to the Twist Me trilogy by Anna Zaires last month, I couldn’t waitCapture Me by Anna Zaires to start her next trilogy. The trilogy intertwines with the first one and I loved the storyline as well as revisiting familiar characters. Lucas and Yulia were incredible together. Capture Me is the first part and actually has some part of the last book in the previous trilogy in it but told from other perspectives which I loved. I ended up giving this one Star_rating_4_of_5 stars, the narrators of this trilogy are as perfect as the Twist Me narrators were!

Bind Me by Anna Zaires3. The next book in said trilogy is Bind Me , it continues on with the story of Lucas and Yulia right where we left off in the first book. The book takes us deeper into the relationship that the two are developing sometimes a bit against their will too. According to my Goodreads account I’ve already read this trilogy before but I can’t remember much of it if I have indeed. The second book got a Star_rating_4_of_5 star rating off of me as well!

4. Last in the trilogy is Claim Me. While Lucas and Yulia have long told themselves that Claim Me by Anna Zairesthey’re not in love with each other and they’re simply captor and captive, of course there’s so much more to this than that. After the events at the end of the last book, we enter new territory and I am here for it. I absolutely loved it! The conclusion to the trilogy gets Star_rating_5_of_5 stars from me!

Amour Amour by Krista Ritchie5. The fifth book I read in June was Amour Amour by the incredible Krista and Becca Ritchie. The book is part of the Aerial Etherial series and I LOVE them. Amour Amour was a reread for me as I read it last year as well but I loved this all over again. Nikolai is the perfect broody guy and Thora the perfect heroine. Together they were fireworks. I am still not sure if I will reread Infini in July but I will reread it soon as well. I hope there will be a lot more books in this series in the future as I love being part of the circus world! Amour Amour kept its Star_rating_5_of_5 star rating that I gave it last year.

6. One of Kendall Ryan’s June releases was up next. The Two-week Arrangement was The Two Week Arrangement by Kendall Ryanone that I didn’t expect to be in two parts. My sister read it first and was so frustrated as the second one wouldn’t come out until the end of the month which is why I decided to take a bit more time with it. I still read it pretty early on in June and ended up loving it a lot but yes I do agree it is a bit frustrating to not be able to continue in what feels like to be the middle of the story! I still loved it a lot though! Hence why it received Star_rating_4_of_5 stars from me!

Did I Mention it's 10 Years Later? by Estelle Maskame7. Estelle Maskame is a young author whose books I’ve been devouring. I love reading a bit of a forbidden romance and hers definitely is that. Tyler and Eden returned in a short story as part of a anniversary of her first book being written. Did I Mention It’s 10 Years Later was cute but way too short in my opinion, I would’ve loved to read so much more of this! DIM got Star_rating_3_of_5 stars from me this time around.

8. Next up was another arc. Also a book that I’ve been waiting for with a lot of Superfan by Sarina Bowenimpatience. Sarina Bowen is one of my favourite authors out there and her Brooklyn Bruisers story is one of my favourites. Superfan is the newest release and tells the story of Silas and his crush on famous superstar Delilah might just be one of my favourite books of the year. I devoured this and I am already looking forward to Sarina’s next release! Superfan of course got Star_rating_5_of_5 stars out of me.

Pestilence by Laura Thalassa9. What am I going to tell you guys about the next book on my June list… Pestilence wasn’t.. good? I went into it expecting to at least like it a little bit, but it was just too much for me.. The idea is as followed; the four horsemen come to earth to kind of reset the earth and get rid of humanity as it keeps destroying the planet. One girl tries to kill the first Horsemen, Pestilence but fails to do so and he captures her. He takes her along his journey and while he keeps on wiping out all humankind, she starts falling in love with him. My only question was; why? He literally kills while she’s there, sometimes to take the house of people so she can sleep and just watches her take care of the people until they die in front of her… I don’t ever give ratings below three stars unless they’re really bad. Pestilence got Star_rating_2_of_5 only because the writing style that Laura used was something I liked. The story, just wasn’t for me.

10. After the previous one I was in the mood to read something that I knew I was going toPunk 57 by Penelope Douglas love reading and decided I’d pick up Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas. Rhian and Misha have been penpals since they were little, Rhian’s teacher thinking Misha was a girl and Misha’s teacher thinking Rhian was a boy. But when Misha finds out Rhian isn’t who he thinks she is he decides to mess with her and they go from penpals to enemies. Rhian none the wiser about who Misha really is to her. I loved this book, I was a bit bummed the story was set in high school but it made up for it and I couldn’t put it down once I’d started. It had been a while since I read a book by Penelope and this was a great one to pick up, I ended up giving it Star_rating_5_of_5 stars.

Under Locke by Mariana Zapata11. As I told you all in my last wrap up, I love a book by Mariana Zapata. I am slowly making my way through them and as I only had two left to go, I decided to go with the one that I had on my actual bookshelves. It being Under Locke, after reading about Dex and Iris in Kulti knowing now where they’d end up I couldn’t wait to find out how they got started. I love a good slowburn romance and Mariana is the queen of them, but oh my god this one nearly killed me. The tension was there and the moments were there but nothing ever happens until so late into the book! I loved it and couldn’t give it anything but Star_rating_5_of_5 stars.

12. Next up is another arc by one of my favourite authors, T.M. Frazier. Tracey writes the N9ne by T.M. Fraziermost amazing erotica romances. Her King series will forever by one of my top series and her newest release in the series, N9ne is a good next installment. What I might have loved most about this book was the return of so many favourite characters out of the previous books but most of all Preppy. Of course the book is the story of Preppy’s little brother Kevin so how could he not make an appearance. I can’t wait to find out what is going to be next! N9ne received a good Star_rating_4_of_5 stars from me!

Stay by Tia Louise13. The thirteenth book I read in June is one I should’ve read way earlier but for some reason hadn’t yet. The newest release by Tia Louise, Stay tells the story of single mum Emmy who takes care of her little boy after her divorce. When Stephen Hastings is suddenly in front of her again she’s not sure what to do. Emmy lost her virginity to her brother’s friend years before and after he left her like nothing had happened, Emmy decided she would never look at him again. Of course that’s not how it goes. When Stephen proposes a marriage out of convenience for benefits her son needs, Emmy starts looking at him different eventually. Stay was incredible and received Star_rating_4_of_5 stars from me.

14. And then there was part two in the Penthouse Affair duet by Kendall Ryan, Seven Seven Nights of Sin by Kendall RyanNights of Sin continues where The Two Week Arrangement left off. I was so happy to be able to continue the story as I was eager to find out what was going to happen next. Kendall did not disappoint. I really liked this duet, it was cute and rough and thankfully had a happy ending. I love the single dad romances. In my eyes there’s nothing cuter than a hot single dad hehe. Seven Nights of Sin got Star_rating_4_of_5 stars from me.

On Dublin Street by Samantha Young15. Nearly at the end of my list! My fifteenth book I read this month was another reread. I decided to reread On Dublin Street by Samantha Young as I was in the mood for one of her books and it had been a good while since I read anything from this series. I first read this book in 2015 so I though I’d be up for a reread. Joss and Braden are amazing, I love their banter and how they eventually get together because you could see that happening from a mile apart! On Dublin Street also kept the rating I gave it back when I first read it, Star_rating_5_of_5 stars.

16. The final book of June was also a reread. Stolen by Lucy Christopher was one of the Stolen by Lucy Christopherbooks that I bought when I visited San Francisco in June 2014 and I read it on my plane ride home from there. Maybe that’s why I loved it as much back then and gave it five stars. While I still liked the book, it was no longer a five star read for me, I ended up giving it Star_rating_3_of_5 stars which is a bit lower. Stolen will forever hold the best memories for me, because the trip to San Francisco was one that I absolutely loved taking!

And that was the end of this wrap up! I can’t wait to see what I get to read in July, but you will have to wait a month to find out! I hope you read as many incredible books as I did and will in the coming month.

my review

Finally the book I was waiting on, I’ve loved Jace in every single mention in other books and I am so happy to finally read his book! The Connor family have crept their way into my heart and I think I might’ve been rooting for Jace from the very start.

His romance with the coach’s daughter was a must read from the get go. Now you might know that I love sports romances and especially when there’s a small element of a forbidden romance in it, I just love it so much more.

Jace and Brooke were cute and adorable from the start, amazing in the middle and breath taking at the end. I hope to read a lot more from them in the future, even if it’s just mentions in other books by Layla!

I can’t believe there’s only one more book left in the Connor family series, but I can’t wait to find out what Layla is going to come up with next. Every single book that I have read by Layla since I first read any thing by her, have been absolutely incredible and I feel so lucky to receive these books. I love devouring them and always feel sad afterwards when I’ve finished them!

About the Book

Dear Sexy AF Intern,

I know you don’t particularly care that I’m the CEO of this company, and you’re just an intern. I also know you’re not impressed by my power or my wealth, and that’s fine.

You think you’ve got me all figured out from working alongside me for two weeks, but you don’t know me. Not really.

You don’t know that I’m a single dad to twin toddlers, or that those two little girls matter more to me than this entire hotel chain.

I’m not interested in starting something deep and meaningful, but what I am interested in is the way your body reacts to mine when we’re in the same room. You probably assume the concentration on my face is work-related, when in reality, I’m figuring out which I want more–to nail you against the wall, or to bend you over my desk.

While you’re too disciplined to act on it, I’m not. And the night you stepped into my limo, all bets were off.

WRAP UP || MARCH 2019

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my third wrap up of 2019. I had an amazing reading month and I can’t wait to let you know which books I read. I didn’t read as many books as I read in the previous two months, but I did end up reading books that I really really enjoyed. I read a total of 17 books in March in the span of 31 days. I read the following books in March, with a little thought on them and my star rating on them! Here we go, in order:

Preppy by T.M. Frazier1. The first book I finished in March was the second book in a trilogy that I love and reread this year. Preppy (or The Life and Death of Samuel Clearwater) is written by one of my favourite authors out there, T.M. Frazier. If you love adult romance with a lot of extra things, go read it. It is not for the faint hearted though! Star_rating_5_of_5

2. The second book that I read was one I received as an arc. R.S. Grey is Make Me Bad by R.S. Greyone of my go-to authors when it comes to romantic comedies. I love her books and Make me bad was one that is up in my top 10 by her. To be fair, I don’t think I’ve found a book by her that I hated! I ended up giving this Star_rating_4_of_5 stars, my review is already up on my blog, if you’re interested in more!

Preppy by T.M. Frazier3. After Make Me Bad I made sure to finish out the trilogy by reading the final part in Preppy and Dre’s story. I forgot so many details about these book that I was so happy to dive back into them. I loved revisiting with my favourites and rekindling friendships with others. This was another Star_rating_5_of_5 stars from me.

4. After reading Make You Mine back in December last year, I couldn’t waitMake Me Yours by Tia Louise to find out more about Remington and what he would get up to. Add that to a daddy/nanny trope and I am absolutely sold! I loved this books so much, there was sas, there was a cute child and there was a hot romance. Heck yeah I was there for it! Star_rating_4_of_5

Surprise, Baby! by Lex Martin5. Fifth was another arc that I received. I was lucky enough to receive an arc by Lex Martin last year and when I saw this one, I couldn’t not ask for it. The book was so funny and going from hate to love in a snowstorm and what follows was what I loved about Surprise, Baby. The book, written by Lex Martin and Leslie McAdam was so funny and witty. I gave it: Star_rating_4_of_5

Extra Credit by Sarina Bowen6. When my sister told me that there was a book coming out with three novellas by Sarina Bowen, I jumped on it and read it. We already knew two of the novellas as they were previously published, but there was a new one for Graham and Rikker and oh my heart.. It was the cutest, most heartbreaking novella and I had heart eyes the entire time. Star_rating_4_of_5

Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin by Mariana Zapata7. Seventh up in March was another book by Mariana Zapata. During the last few months I’ve been slowly making my way through her books and Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin was one of the few I still had left to go. I liked this a lot although not as much as I’ve loved others by her. None the less this book received a full Star_rating_5_of_5 from me.

8. I had heard a lot of buzz about Daisy Jones & the Six and absolutely jumped on that Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reidbook when it arrived on my doorstep. It released this month and all the reviews I’d seen and heard about it absolutely did it justice. This book was all I love in a book. There will be a full review coming this week, but Star_rating_5_of_5 all the freaking way!

The Hookup Handbook by Kendall Ryan9. After reading Boyfriend for Hire last month, I was so curious about Case and his story that I pre-ordered that book straight away. I was a happy camper when the book appeared on my kindle app at midnight and I was able to dive straight in. Case and Sienna were so cute and funny and I liked this book a lot! I kinda want Sienna’s brother to have a book now as well, we’ll see if that is going to happen! Star_rating_4_of_5

10. I have not always been the biggest poetry fan, but Amanda Lovelace and Rupi Kaur The Mermaid's Voice Returns in This One by Amanda Lovelaceare up there amongst my favourites. When I found out that Amanda was coming out with a new bind up, I HAD to get that book badly. It arrived on my doorstep and I dove straight in. Her poetry is raw, builds up and sometimes is all too familiar. Her lines are so beautiful and I can’t wait to find out more. Star_rating_4_of_5

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid11. After loving Daisy Jones, I was really curious about The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I had heard a LOT of good things about this book but had yet to pick it up until that point. I regret waiting that long because god was Reid able to write a gutwrenching beautiful story about a Hollywood actress and all that she went through, but maybe even more the author of her biography and her story. I am so excited to find out what Taylor Jenkins Reid comes up with next! Star_rating_5_of_5

12. Next up is a book that I received through a Dutch publisher to review for De Leesfabriek. De eeuwige tijd by Deborah HarknessI have been a reviewer for them since 2014 and I am loving most of the books that I receive through them. I gave this book Star_rating_3_of_5 stars because I liked it but I was confused through a lot of the book and I didn’t really enjoy this as much as I enjoyed the original trilogy.

Fantastic Beasts the Crimes of Grindelwald by J.K. Rowling13. To read another book that was on my TBR pile for a long time, I read the screenplay to the second Fantastic Beasts film, The Crimes of Grindelwald. I liked reading it but what made the book for me were the illustrations that are seen throughout this book. Those were adding the third star for me.Star_rating_3_of_5

14. By now, I own 5 books by V.E. Schwab and had yet to read one of them. Vicious by V.E. SchwabAfter watching a booktube video that also talked about Vicious I decided to finally pick it up and dive in. I LOVED this so much, there was action, revenge, supernatural and I love how the EO’s come to be in this story. I will have to pick up Vengeful soon to find out what is going to happen to Victor and Eli next. I am very excited! Star_rating_4_of_5

The Understatement of the Year by Sarina Bowen15. At the start of the year I began a reread of the Ivy Years by Sarina Bowen, as I didn’t continue on after the second book and after finishing the novellas earlier this month I was so excited to dive into Rikker and Graham’s story again. They held back their attraction so much and when I finished I realised why I loved reading their novella so much, because we find out what happens after this book. The Understatement of the Year received a full Star_rating_5_of_5 stars from me!

16. I couldn’t not continue on this series after finishing Understatement. Bella was one of The Shameless Hour by Sarina Bowenmy favourite characters throughout that book and I was so excited to find out what was going to happen to her in this book. I was not disappointed one bit. Bella and Rafe were so cute together. When Bella goes through her hardships, Rafe was the perfect friend to her and I too would’ve fallen hard for him! Star_rating_4_of_5

The Fifteenth Minute by Sarina Bowen17. And then the last book of March and the last book in the Ivy Years series. After meeting Lianne in the previous book I was, again, really curious to find out what her story would be. I got so angry at her agent, I loved her relationship with DJ Trevi, although I would’ve loved it if he would’ve just told her from the start what was going again, because I think out of ALL his friends, Lianne would’ve been the one to understand him. This book was incredible! Star_rating_4_of_5

And that is my reading bit of March wrapped up! What do you think? How many books did you end up reading this month, were there any good ones or bad ones that you really didn’t enjoy? Let me know in the comments!

BLURB

There’s a fine line between lust and hate.
I don’t care that Drew Merritt spent the last year transforming himself from grungy slob to sexy playboy. With messy, dirty blond hair and gorgeous eyes, his looks aren’t the problem.
His mouth is.
And the stupid things that come out of it.
But after an emergency strands us together, and he does his damnedest to take care of me…
Let’s just say there’s one thing we don’t clash on.
And it doesn’t involve talking.
I’ve despised Drew since I met him years ago. One weekend can’t change us that much, can it?
Spoiler alert: It doesn’t.
Except he left me a little keepsake.
And in nine months, I’ll have a surprise for Portland’s most notorious player.

Lex Martin
Lex writes contemporary romance, the sexy kind with lotsa angst, a whole lotta kissing, and the hot happily ever afters. When she’s not writing, she lives a parallel life as an English teacher.
She loves printing black and white photos, listening to music on vinyl, and getting lost in a great book. Bitten by wanderlust, she’s  lived all over the country but currently resides in the City of Angels with her husband and twin daughters.

Leslie McAdam
Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves – even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avirectreader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it’s Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She’s unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement.
Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she’s not in the writing cave you’ll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.

my review

I was given a copy of this book for review and gah am I in love with these two. I hadn’t read the previous book, so I didn’t know how the other two came to be, but I loved reading about Kendall and Drew. I have said this before but I will say it again, I am a big sucker when it comes to hate-to-love stories, and this one wasn’t an exception. It took me a while to finish, which had nothing to do with the book, but more to do with the fact that I was not around too much to read.
Kendall and Drew have met a few years before through their best friends and while they have never really hit it off, when they get stranded in a mountain cabin together, they get talking and of course things start happening.
Lex and Leslie have written this book perfectly, with enough banter and fights and other drama.
Kendall was a sassy AF woman that I would love to be one day, maybe minus the pregnancy part.
Drew was a man to my heart, one who had a past that he didn’t like to be reminded off too much but with a love for his woman that I would love to feel.
Thank you so much for letting me read this book, I can’t wait to find out what else is on the horizon from either author!
