Bout of Books 16

Hello lovelies!

Yes it’s that time of year again! The Bout of Books readathon is on this week and it’s the 16th one!

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 9th and runs through Sunday, May 15th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 16 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

For this week I have set up a rather small list of books that I’d like to read because I either not keep to my tbr or I will get angry with myself for not finishing it!

Finishing:
– The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan (The Trials of Apollo #1)

Hoping to Read:
– Come Back To Me by Mila Gray
– The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting by Holly Bourne
– Uprooted by Naomi Novik

On reserve:
– Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
– Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher

Go on and join everyone!
Love,
Daphne

Bout of Books 15!

BoB15-200x200Hey all,

It’s that time of year again, where I seclude myself from everyone and get some reading done. Not that I don’t read the entire year through, but during a readathon I have a reason to lock myself in my room with snacks and drinks and all of my books 😛 haha. I believe I’ve been participating in Bout of Books since BoB 11 or 12, which would make this my fifth or fourth time and I just love BoB!

As I finish work on the 31st of December and don’t leave for England until the 23rd of January, I have more than enough time to read the entire week through! This is what Bout of Books is all about:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. Time Devoted to Reading

I will be reading all week.

My Goals

  • Read as much and often as I can
  • Take enough breaks
  • Make sure to keep hydrated
  • Have fun
  • It’s okay not to finish all of the books at the end of the week

Books to Read

I don’t know if I will be reading all of these books, but these are the books that I’d like to read or at least start to read.

  • Cinder – Marissa Meyer
  • Scarlett – Marissa Meyer
  • Because of Low – Abbi Glines
  • While it Lasts – Abbi Glines
  • Bared to you – Sylvia Day

Lots of love,
Daphne

Since the beginning of December 2014 I’ve been a part of De Leesfabriek. An organisation that through it’s website provides people between the ages of 15 and 25 with reviews on books. Whether it’s a new release or it’s a new look on a classic, anything is possible. Back in february I was lucky to receive a copy of Uitgeverij Karmijn’s first print: De Gave van Hanna Mendel. Since then I follow their twitter page and a week ago they asked for readers for their next printed book; De Boekhandel by Penelope Fitzgerald (the review on that book will be posted in just a bit). I LOVED IT!!

On to the last two days of this readathon people!

Lots of Love,
Daph
